PstOhj 2000 (Euro-Spike)

In 2000 the Finnish Army selected the third generation ATGM Euro-Spike, to meet its requirement for a medium-range anti-tank guided missile system (ATGM) to equip its readiness brigades at battallion-level. The Euro-Spike is more or less the same weapon as the Gil used by the Israeli Defence Force (IDF). However it is made in the EU. The gunner can choose to fire either in fire-and-forget mode or he can choose to follow and guide the missile to the target. He can also choose a high or low flight of the missile. The system is designed to destroy modern battle tanks that uses composite armour and ERA. Because of the light weight the system can be carried by two soldiers without being easily fatigued.
