ItO 96 Buk M1

In the 90īs Russia paid of some of it debts to Finland by delivering equipment and initial training for 9 batteries (3 battallions) of area defence SAM SA-11 Buk M1, that got the Finnish designation ItO 96. A battery consists of 5 vehicles within the Buk M1-system. The Buk M1 has in tests showed a high accuracy, not only against aircraft, but also against cruise missiles. The Finnish Buk M1´s is mainly intended for the air defence of the finnish capital Helsinki.
