Design
philosophy
I try to design calm, clean and simple skins. One for me very important part is to get the dynamics of the GUI well designed, like button pressing. I think there so much more than just a nice looking static skin. So, still with all respect for the creators, I do not understand how those grafitti/psychedelic skins can get all these high grades. They're good looking on the side of a train, but do they work as skins? I don't think so. I demand more of a great WinAmp skin. Please tell me if I'm right or wrong, and why. My WinAmp skins
When I heard about the WinAmp skin feature, I decided to put all those Photoshop tutorials to practise. I was really glad (of course) when I saw the response:
If you're fond of the WinAmp speakers I offer a modified version of these... please read the enclosed textfile for credits.
Still no response from Layer3.org, maybe they're overwelmed by all those skin submissions? :) |
