What is VQF?
VQF is kind of same thing as mp3 but it compress audio files much better. For example if the size of Fastlove would be around 5Mb if encoded as mp3 it would be only about 3.5Mb in VQF format having still same quality or even better. What do I need to enjoy VQF? First of all a good computer. At least a Pentium 166 with 32 RAM. Than if you have Winamp player you can get a plugin which will enable you to play both mp3 and VQF files using same player. You can also use Yamaha player (pic. above) Where do I find VQF files? Here of course :-) VQF is quite new and there are not many files out there and finding George Michael files may be very difficult if not impossible. You can always try ftp search or #irc. Check the info page about mp3 on my site and follow descriptions there. |
