the small village Oosterhout in the province Gelderland in the Netherlands.
We are all children, grandchildren and great-grand children of Arend Elings
and Carolina Verwaayen. All members of this family still live (after 100
year history) in Oosterhout or neighbour villages. Greetings to all

My grandparents, who live in Cincinnati, Ohio, have searched
for our roots for some time.  They have found Eling history
in England and Germany.  I was amazed to find all this
information on Eling families in Sweden.

Here is the information I have:
Jacob R. Eling was born 12/2/1856 in Dronrijk, Friesland, Holland.  He
died on 10/12/1926 in Prescott, WI, USA.
He married Cora Kloostra on 8/25, 1883 in Galesburg, IA, USA.  She was
born on 4/23/1857 in Beetgum, Friesland, Holland and died on 11/13/1933 in
Prescott, WI, USA.
They had eight children:
Rean J. Eling, born 6/8/1884
Emmitt J. Eling born 10/7/1885
John J. Eling, born 3/8/1887
Rekie J. Eling, born 5/28/1890
Jennie J. Eling, born 2/19/1892
Katie Eling, born 9/22/?

Hej!
Mitt namn är Anna Eling och jag härstammar från Elings släkten i Gävle. Du
skriver att vi Gävle Elingarna skulle ha tagit sitt namn från orten Eling i
Västergötland, något som för min släkt ej stämmer. På min farfars sida, som
är född Eling (1920), har det släktforskats och jag har papper på släktingar
med namnet Eling så långt tillbaka som 1750-talet. Dessa har bott på olika
bruk och andra orter i norra Uppland. Varifrån dessa Elingar kommer i från
vet jag ej, men jag har för avsikt att ta reda på det någon gång när jag
hinner. För övrigt har min farfar över tio syskon som också spridit namnet i
Gävletrakten och i USA. Det vore intressant att få ta del av vad du funnit
om Elingar runt om i världen.

Jag heter Mats Eling och bor i Gävle.
Blev väldigt förvånad då jag hittade släkten på Internet.
Jag är 32 år och gift med Susanne, min storebror som heter
