The Library
Here you can read stories that I've written. At the moment, it's all fan fiction (which, in case you're new to this, means that I'm using a world that already exists - one from a video game, for instance - and just make up the story, as opposed to making up both the world and the story. It also means I'm not getting any money for it. If I did, it wouldn't be fan fiction anymore - just ask Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman)...
Anyway, this is what you have to choose from right now:
- Final Fantasy Fan Fiction (The Good Stuff)
- Phantasy Star Fan Fiction (The Bad Stuff)
- Suikoden Fan Fiction (Probably Somewhere In Between, Hopefully Closer To Being Good Than Bad)
More will be added... in time.
All stories, unless otherwise noted, are finished (and there are no "otherwise noted" ones at the moment...). And all fanfics (namely, all the stories on this site...) seem to contain major spoilers for the game I used as background (Hearts and Mirrors also manages to contain spoilers for Final Fantasy "1"), so if you haven't played the games (and intend to do so), it might be better if you didn't read anything of this. Oh, and remember: I want feedback! If you read any of these stories, be sure to make use of the "mail me" links that I've so thoughtfully scattered all over the place and tell me what you think! (Please?)
If you want to MST something that I have written, you have my blessings (though you might not like that in case you're a Christian, because I'm a scary pagan :P ), but I do have one demand: I want to see the finished MST! So, once you're done MSTing, sent the MST to me, OK? Also, I would like to post the MST here on this page (seeing as it is my work being MSTed), but that isn't something I'm demanding.
Suikoden Fan Fiction
Ah... Suikoden. Not much to be said about this. It's one of those games you either love or hate - and of course, all the smart people belong in the first category. :P There's more feeling in those little pixels than any given CGC from FFVII, and feeling is what counts in RPGs. 'nuff said.
A Day Night in their Lives
We find out that,
while (Luc = TooDamnTired)
{
TryingToThink != AGoodIdea
}
...are you confused yet? This is probably more "funny" than my other fics... short and not too serious, maybe a little bit serious... okay, a lot, but not in a serious way - ah, what the hell, just read it. (Erk. I'm getting rusty... O_o)
Main Characters: Luc
Size: 22k
Winter Pathways
This is cute. And it's pure romance. Kinda. Normally, I don't even bother to read fics like this, and I wouldn't even have thought of writing one. Having a cold + playing too much Suikoden = weird ideas, though. Adding to that, the several hours I spent boosting most of Kasumi's stats to 255... but that's another story.
This fic takes place about three years after the end of Suikoden II. Tir is going on what he thinks will be a short trip to Dunan... and then Things Happen. Tir soon finds himself in a rather embarrassing situation, together with Kasumi, and unable to run away. Things could very easily happen during situations like that... things that Tir has spent far too much time trying to avoid. Meanwhile, Kasumi desperately wants to tell Tir how she feels, but, as usual, is having a hard time finding the courage to do so.
And all the while... something is... not quite right with the world around them...
Main Characters: Tir "Hero" McDohl, Kasumi
Size: 95k
Friendship
More Luc fic. A short, slightly angsty piece that takes place just before the final battle in Suiko2. It continues A Day Night in their Lives slightly, but not much humour here.
Main Characters: Luc, and a Mysterious Person whose name you'll have to guess...
Size: 19k
Farewell, but not Goodbye
Even more Lucfic. The Dunan Unification War is won, Lord Riou has left to keep a promise to an old friend, and Luc... is still living in the castle. He has his reasons, but that doesn't mean he's not confused about it. And what's worse, he isn't even bothered by it. Because Luc has found an unlikely friend, and for some reason, being around people isn't as bad as he used to think... As usual it's a good idea to read the previous parts first, namely this and that.
Main Characters: Luc and the very same Mysterious Person as the last time, whose name you'll now definitely be able to guess.

Final Fantasy VII Fan Fiction
Stories set in the world of the RPG known as "Final Fantasy VII". If you haven't heard of it, what are you doing visiting a page like this, anyway?
Damn, I talk a lot, don't I? I'll shut up now and let you have a look at the fics... Enjoy.
A Farewell to Tseng
This is my first attempt at FF7 fiction. Mushy stuff, and a bit on the short side. "Cute" might describe it. The Turks decide to say a ...rather odd farewell to their late leader, Tseng. And that's it as far as this story is concerned. Feel free to skip if you like.
Main Characters: The remaining Turks - Reno, Rude and Elena.
Size: 13k.
Order and CHAOS
This is my second attempt at FF7 fiction. It turned out better than the first one, and - to my surprise - I've heard (well, read) many positive comments about this one. It deals mainly with Yuffie growing up slightly, and Vincent having trouble with a certain demon that shares his body... and no, this is not a Yuffie + Vincent romance story.
Main characters: Yuffie and Vincent (Off Course! ^_^). Most of the others get cameo appearances.
Size: 120k
Hearts and Mirrors
This is the "sequel" to Order and CHAOS. Personally, I think this is my best story so far (although I'm still not completely satisfied with how it turned out, but then again, I don't think I'll ever be completely satisfied with anything I write)... and I get the feeling the readers think so too; of all the stories I've written, this is the one that has received the most feedback, and almost all of it has been good... is this where I blush?
Being a "sequel", it more or less deals with what's left after "OaC"... among other things ^_-. I recommend you read Order and CHAOS before reading Hearts and Mirrors, as there are a lot of things that may otherwise seem plain strange.
Warning: this story contains a bit of bad language - heck, Cid is in it! - and gets slightly dark in places. Don't read it if that isn't your cup of tea. Otherwise, enjoy... ^_^
Main characters: Yuffie, Vincent, Cloud, Tifa and Cid.

Phantasy Star Fan Fiction
This may call for some explanation... The first fanfics I wrote were set in the Phantasy Star universe, in the Algo star system (where most of the games take place...). I wrote the standard "this-happened-at-the-end-of-Phantasy-Star-II" piece, and followed it up with a number of stories set 500 years later - something I called "the Phantasy Star 2.5 series".
As I said, these stories (apart from the first one) take place 500 years after PS II, and thus also 500 years before PS IV (or PS: At the End of the Millennium, depending on what you prefer). The characters (who, by the way, are almost all author-created) are... not the best I've made up, and the main character has all the signs of an avatar (not that I knew what an "avatar" was when I wrote this, but anyway). Rather embarrassing stuff, really, but I decided to put it up anyway - if nothing else, you can see how my writing has changed. Or has it? O_o Brr... that's a bad mental image, all right...
By the way, these stories are mostly unedited - whatever errors there were when I wrote them are probably still there (I've corrected a few things, but not much) and the Author's Notes are still basically the same as they were when I posted these stories to The Phantasy Star Pages. The reason? There are two. 1, I'm too damn lazy, and 2, it felt better to keep things the way they were (so we can see just how much my writing sucked (hmph, well, maybe sucked is a bit too harsh...) at the time...). Hey - two birds, one stone... ;-)
Anyway, here it is. Have a look and judge for yourself, but don't expect too much. I was young and stupid at the time. But as long as you don't expect J.R.R Tolkien, maybe it could be fun anyway... ;-P
It's not very likely that this section will grow (but we'll see about that when I get my hands on PSO...). But at least all the stories are finished, and there's a good ending (well, an ending at any rate), so that isn't much of a loss...
Oh, and as for the guy's name... I was trying to be funny. I originally intended to write a comedy sort of thing (more like parody, actually), but then it ended up more as an action/drama (i.e, more like the stuff I intended to parody)... but I kept the characters (and their names). So sue me. ...no, on second thought, don't sue me. Yikes!
Shards of the Broken Blade
The first story contains major spoilers for Phantasy Star II. It continues where PS II
left off - just as Mother Brain is destroyed. Nothing much to say here... every bit as mushy as A farewell to Tseng and about as good, I guess...
if you want to read the PS2.5 stories, reading this first might be a good idea; I based some of the stuff in them on what happens here.
Warning! "First Fanfic" alert!
Main Characters: All the heroes from PS II.
Size: 25k.
Phantasy Star 2.5: The Darkblade
The first, and worst, PS2.5 story. A young man and his sister carry a grudge over several years, and finally go to seek out the man who killed their father. I guess it could be made into a good MST... >_<
Main Characters: All-new characters Dark and Shane Gray. Is that an avatar I smell?
Size: 40k
Phantasy Star 2.5: Hunters
The Gray siblings have grown slightly older and are working for the Hunters' Guild on Motavia. They are given an assignment that takes them into the caves behind Zema town, and things get hairy. Better than the first one, but still not good.
Main Characters: Dark and Shane, and three other new characters - Tirom, Jun and Professor A. Holt.
Size: 70k
Phantasy Star 2.5: Warriors
On an assignment from A Certain Personality, the gang find an ancient underground facility of some sort... and with it, a bus load of trouble. Worse than Pt. 2, IMO.
Main Characters: Dark, Shane, Tirom, and Jun.
Size: 35k
Phantasy Star 2.5: Techmasters
Personally, I think this is the best part in the series... Someone has managed to create a fire Technique stronger than even Nafoi. That person is up to no good, and our heroes enlist the help of another group of Hunters... or was it the other way around? And exactly what is it with those guys? Something fishy is going on here, and the Hunters' Guild almost getting burnt to the ground is only the beginning of it all...
Main Characters: The usual cast, plus a few extras (no spoilers here...).
Size: 145k
Phantasy Star 2.5: Magicians
Slightly worse than part 4... Something is happening on Dezoris, and maintenance robots are malfunctioning. Wren enlists our heroes' help in order to get rid of the disturbances... but exactly what is happening and how the hell did she end up here? Read the Stunning Conclusion to the PS 2.5 series in Phantasy Star 2.5: Magicians!
Main Characters: The usual cast, with Crys, Adrian Holt, and cameos by a few others.
Size: 210k
