Personal History

I graduated from High School at the ripe old age of seventeen in 1986. At that point I went directly in to The United Sates Marine Corps. I served four years as a "6413" IFF repairman working mostly with Helicopters and the transponders which maintained contact with the Air Traffic control tower. I was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps in 1990 as a corporal. I then worked for a number years for a now defunct pharmaceutical company called Syntex. During this time I attended the various community schools. Syntex decided to move to Ohio so like a modern nomad I moved with my job to find better grazing land in Ohio. Then as luck would have it the company went belly up and I gained the opportunity to go to school full time. I chose Ohio State University. My studies included a wide range of subjects from Plant Biology to Psychology. At OSU I gained the opportunity to come and study in Sweden at Uppsala University. I took it without a second thought and I have been here since 1995. My studies at Uppsala U. included Media and communications and Swedish. I have also worked at the student radio station (98.9 Uppsala) for nearly 3 years now and have gained much experience there as a DJ and journalist both in producing taped and live broadcasts. I would like to expand my horizons and find a job within the business sector in the area of media, advertising, and or internet. Although I speak Swedish quite fluently, English is my mother tongue and I could be very helpful to companies which need to create and/or translate internet sites into the English language. I would however entertain the idea of working for any company which could further my knowledge of the modern media and information society even if it was not directly related to the internet or radio.

Take care and I hope you enjoy the Homepage,
