SUDEA
SUDEA was founded by concerned people in Sweden in 1992. The association is religiously and politically independent. It started its activities in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia.
SUDEA co-operates with other organisations which aim for the similar goals.
SUDEA is an international organisation with its board of directors in Sweden.
SUDEA is supported financially, morally, and intellectually by over 200 members in Sweden and by the Swedish Government through Sida (Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency).
SUDEA members
are now sponsoring inividual Ethiopian students for schooling and training
on both a monthly and a yearly basis.
The Vision
The founders vision sees SUDEA
contributing to
- Integrated urban and rural development.
- Equal opportunities for all men and women.
- Self-esteem for young people.
- A better quality of life.
- An open, sustainable society with great dignity and pride.
