What is right and what is not, on TV

The purpose of this page is not to give a comprehensive guide to what's available on TV but to point out some of the best shows on TV. The site will provide a short summary of the plot and the characters. And also provide a list of good sites for those that are interested in further information about the show. The most popular actors and actresses will also have links provided to dedicated sites. The other cast members will be linked to information from the Internet Movie Database. (Not yet ready)

All the details, like, picture galleries and news I leave to the sites I list under each show. The main point of this site is width, not depth.

ER (Cityakuten)

One of my favorite television shows. It is the most popular hospital drama today and one of the most popular shows overall in the world.
On my ER site you will find information about the current status of the main characters of show. Other things you will find is a gallery with sounds and videos and of course lots of links to other ER sites.

Late show with David Letterman

The best talk show around! OK, that question is almost as controversial as religion but anyhow my site is about David Letterman and his guests.

Caroline in the City (Singel i stan)

A small charming comedy starring Lea Thompson (Back to the Future). She plays a cartoonist and as many creative personalities she lives a slightly odd life.
My CitC site concentrates on the dealings of the characters and the relationship between them. And links.

JAG (På heder och samvete)

A military show mostly about murders and deception. Even if the military part is only a backdrop it has many unusual plots making it interesting.
As the other of my sites this one also contains a biography of the characters.

Friends (Vänner)

Don't tell me you don't know this one! By far the best show on tv today. With hilarious characters and striking lines it is superior everything else you can find today.
For the few of you that don't know this show it is, as the title says, a show about friends or to be exact six friends. The plots are about the small things that can happen to anyone, like feeling ignored or put in the cold when someone read something they shouldn't.
What can I say but SEE IT!

X-files (Arkiv-X)

After all the hyping of this show I would be surprised if anyone didn't know about it. It is without doubt the best sci-fi series that have been made, describing the mysteries of extraterrestrials and odd phenomenas in a entertaining and exciting way. They have been able to show that humans interfere and tamper with all possible evidence making it virtually impossible to tell if any of the reports of UFO are true. Lately though they seem to have taking stand for the existence of UFOs.
The struggle between the two main characters in every case is also one of the important parts in these series. Fox Mulder who tries to relate everything to UFOs and Dana Scully who always tries to come up with scientific explanations.

Duckman

The marvellous comedy cartoon. Portrayng Duckman's and his friend's worthless lives in a pessimistic world. It is done in a most humorous way always getting to the heart of things. In many ways you can identify with Duckman's pathetic life. Everywhere he goes people look down to him and ignore him. One can understand that he gets his regular outbursts from time to time. And by the way, they are private eyes.

Murder One (Åtalad för mord / Åtalad)

An unusual series in the sense that it is one of a few series that has one plot for the entire season and still not being a soap. It might sound boring but after seeing an episode you are caught and you will thank your lucky star for this series.
The star of the series is Ted Hoffman. He is the leading defence attorney in the case about the murder of Jessica Costello. As the brilliant attorney he manoeuvres his client around every accusation creating the reasonable doubt he needs to receive a negative verdict.
On the other side as the pure evil monster you see Richard Cross. The unscrupulous business man that only sees to his own interest and barely noticing anything else.
The second season has started in Sweden but from what I have seen the loss of the lead Ted Hoffman it isn't as intriging as it was. But it is still a good series, well worth seeing.

En fyra för tre

A nice Swedish adaptation of Three's Company about three persons sharing one apartment and their landlords downstairs. Most of the plots are built around Tobias', one of the three, fortitude amongst the women and the two women sharing the apartment with him. Tobias' dates always manage to misinterpret his roommates.
Their landlords are an old couple and naturally a conservative husband. Always jumping to the most incredible conclusions when the three upstairs do something.

Star Trek Voyager

In my mind the best of the many Star Trek series. Unlike many of the other new series this one sticks to the original concept of boldly going where no man gone before. Through a accident where they lost the bulk of their crew, they went through a worm hole ending up in the Delta quadrant on the other side of the galaxy. With only a handful of their crew remaining the set out for the 100-year trip home to federation space. In this uncharted part of the galaxy they encounter new life forms and create new alliances.
The reason I think this is the best of the Star Trek series is that the plots are varied in a way none of the others have been before. The creativity of the writers seems to have been increased by the thought of being on the other side of the galaxy. And with the new possibilities from the digital special effects the show is more realistic then ever.
