Started way back in 1977 in one of Stockholm's first punk bands – Cathy and the Heat. We never did any recording but a lot of gigs and had a great time!!!! Micke Rip I got to know during this period, he was taking photos and wrote about the band in his Fanzine RIP. What goes around comes around we safely can say now that we're finally playing in the same band. After leaving Cathy and the Heat I was in a few bands in Stockholm. I decided to start a new band - Spion 13. We played for a few years and recorded 2 singles. I did now and then backup singing on various bands recordings. Finally it was not fun any more and Spion 13 decided to part ways. I did a lengthy pause till I was asked if I wanted to do backup singing with Chinese Takeaway. After a while I became a permanent member and we had some awesome years.  We recorded 2 singles and one full length vinyl and toured Germany a couple of times. Autumn 1999 we decided to part ways. Since Glam Punk are our middle names Ego and I decided to keep on Glam-punking and started The Part-Time Posers. It's f___in' great and I enjoy every minute!!!!

The only thing to do to get some action and excitement was by breaking into buildings and smash things up.... Back then, when I first got into  music, I was just a kid and I was totally crazy about Suzie Quattro. I was waiting for something to happen and when I first heard The Sex Pistols I thought: What the fuck?!!.. and I knew this was exactly what I've been waiting for!!! I was asked to do the vocals in a local band but I wanted to be a drummer (Rat Scabies was my favorite musician at the time) So at the end of 79 I became a "drummer" I couldn't afford to buy a drum kit so I bought myself a filthy cheap bass guitar and became a bass player. When I finally had enough money to buy an amplifier I got a guitar for free and became a guitarist. I was playing in several locals band until 92, when suicide pact split up. I was fed-up with it all and I sold the only guitar left that hadn't been smashed up. A few years later and I couldn't stand not being in a band. I joined The Chinese takeaway as a vocalist, we split-up and the rest is history..... Finally The Part-Time Posers were born. And it brings back the feeling - This is what I always been waiting for!!!!!!

Raised in a small town dominated by bourgeoisie sport freaks and fight-seeking boot boys. At 16, I  discovered punk rock. It turned out to be the point of no return. I dyed my hair green, started a band and spent the following three or four years trying to avoid getting beaten up. After escaping to Stockholm, I suddenly found myself heavily involved in various bombastic post-punk projects. On the side there were a few sit-ins as a session musician. In the mid 90:s I joined a power-trio, exploring the world of distortion, feedback and any kind of noise really. Although totally committed to the music, I finally got fed up with self conceited primadonnas and quit the band totally disillusioned. I really thought I'd never want to be in a band again. Stupid, huh? Anyway I thought it over and decided to give it another try. And at my very first rehearsal with The Part-Time Posers I realized this is exactly what I want to do. So - there you have it!

I've spent the last years looking for a cool band to play with so when I
heard that Ego T and his gang of useless punks needed a drummer I got really excited. My only problem was that I hadn't touched a drum-kit for five years (I had played guitar instead...hopeless attempts like: one week with Kids Are Sick, two rehearsals with The Robots etc...) Anyway, after three days of constant practicing and eating truck-loads of eggs and proteins and stuff (...you know, I had to grow muscles...) I finally had enough courage to rehearse with the posers.
It's really strange to be in the same band as Ego T... We lived in the same suburb back in the early eighties; I was a little snotty kid and I guess he was fifteen years old or so. My big brother Frank The Punk (of The Robots) and Ego played together in a punk-band called The Stinky Boys at the time.
Who would have thought that it would end like this? No one I guess. Oh well whatever...it's cool to be a member of The Part-Time Posers. I enjoy every minute of it. In my dreams I sometimes see myself performing a four-minute drum solo onstage at some gigantic arena-rock-thing somewhere in Germany with thousands of crazy germans in front of me screaming: "WE WANT YOU - PART TIME POSERS!".
