You are one girl and three boys in the band, we have some experience with playing in boybands and time to time it stinked! how do you handle your situation, Courtney?
COURTNEY: It´s fun to be in a group of guys. It's like having three brothers, which is very cool. When we're at a show and some nasty guy is trying to put the moves on me, I have three bouncers to bail me out. And that's nice. Vache will even go shopping with me, which is great because he has really good taste. And he's honest about whether something is good or not. He has opinions about shoes, you know? That's cool. But the other two don't really understand my hair / makeup rituals.. They're off eating burgers and
drinking beer while I'm getting ready in the hotel room before the show. But that's why I'm a girl, and they're not. and I love being a girl, so that's ok. It much more fun... And the bartenders usually buy my drinks. so
if they have a few beers without me, I make up for it later.

Which bands are you influenced by?
COURTNEY: We are bombarded with music everywhere we go, so it's hard to determine what actually influences you. I hum to myself alot, sing in the shower, that kind of thing. And I don't even notice I am sometimes. and sometimes I'm surprised by the tune in my head, cause it could be the jingle to the commercial that was playing on the radio. There are also a lot of bands that I love that I wouldn't want to be like. I love the Sex Pistols, for instance, but I am just not that gritty, you know? Or the Misfits. great stuff, but I could never pull that off. As for what I listen to. I love Aerosmith, ACDC, the Clash, Bif Naked, the Darkness, Cheap Trick, the Ramones, Black Sabbath, No Doubt..

Does Paris Hilton rocks your world?
COURTNEY: She is fascinating. She has a confidence I would love to have. The way she holds herself, the way she walks. you can tell she is comfortable in her skin. And she's sexy. And she has excellent clothes.

You live in NY, do you think that is a good or a bad thing when youre in the music business?
COURTNEY: There are good and bad elements to everything. Its great to be in the city. To know so many musicians, to be able to go to any one's concert (cause although they may not play in North Dakota, everyone plays NYC) The city has a great energy, always moving, always alive. But, everybody's here.. There are so many crappy bands, and they all want to promote like crazy. People come up to me and say "I'm in a band, too..." I have so many flyers for shows that I would never want to go to. And that gets a little irritating.
But. you come across gems sometimes. Stange stuff you could never see anywhere else. And although some of it isn't necessarily good, it can be very interesting..

Rate the following zines from 1 to 10:
+ bust - Yeah!!! I like Bust. I first heard about the magazine because I bought a book by the editors- "The Bust Guide to the new girl order". Very good book. Every girl should get it.
+ playboy - Entertaining, but I've never had a subscription. They do actually have good articles, however any guy that says that's the reason he buys it is full of shit.
+ bitch - Good magazine, good viewpoint.
+ hustler - I have to say that I have actually never picked up an issue of Hustler.
Can I rate the Movie, "People vs Larry Flynt" instead? Good movie..
+ cherryfuck - 10!!! All the way!!!

Which band would you most like to tour with?
COURTNEY: I would love to tour with Aerosmith. I think Steven Tyler is amazing. Great frontman. Best ever.

What´s your favourite pet?
COURTNEY: My cat, Mia. She is all black, and is very cuddly and nice. She greets me at the door when I come home and sleeps with me every night. She watches movies with me, and licks my face. She loves everybody. She's the best.

Your song "Should´ve Said Goodbye" is one of the tophits on cherryfuck comp. cd vol I, is your other songs as good as it you think?
COURTNEY: I am really excited about a new one called "Suddenly" that will be on our next cd, due out late spring / early summer. It gives me goosebumps and the giggles whenever we do it live. It makes me happy, and that's a good thing. I hope it makes everyone else feel the same way too.

How much sex drugs and rock n roll is there in your lives? Who in the band gets most groupies? (We guess Courtney)
COURTNEY: Ah, hah. this one is a hard one. Vache (guitarist) gets the infamous ones, the ones with the most character, so he's known for his. Armand has the most, probably. with his glitter pants and all. He's the biggest character of all of us, full of personality and charisma. He is very funny, and very 80's. And girls love him for it. I get the most offers, but I have my type, you know? I'm picky. Full of Rock N roll, though. Our parties are bordering on infamous, at least for those who are there. We have an upcoming S & M show that should be rather exotic. and definitely rock & roll!!!

How would you describe a liveshow with Pretty Suicide?
COURTNEY: We are very energetic. We love what we do, and it comes through when we are onstage. Our crowds are usually rowdy, and really loud. They love to party, to have a good time.

What´s your favourite candy?
COURTNEY: Blow Pops. I like lollipops. And bubble gum.

If you could kill five persons and get away with it, who would it be?

COURTNEY: Mmm... I think I shall keep this to myself.

And finally, how did you came up with your bandname?
COURTNEY: It´s about loving something so much that you would be willing to die for it.
In everything we do, we give our all, not willing to take anything less. Don't give up on what you want, cause then you will be killing a part of yourself that you will miss once its gone.
