Porsche, whose real name is Ch S*Yahtzee's Flightcrash, is a lilac-
pointed Siamese girl after IC S*Gullstras Garm Quod, SIA c and IC S*Arrax Crystal Galaxy, SIA c.
We bought her from Joanna Dickinson in the autumn of 1993.
Her perculiar name
comes from the fact that she was born the same day the "JAS 39 Gripen" (a Swedish military
aircraft) crashed at The Stockholm Water Festival during a flight show. (No one got hurt.)
She also has a sister, living on Aland, whose name is S*Yahtzee's Fireworks for the same reason.
You can see both sisters, at about three weeks of age, in the picture to the left. Porsche was
bought mainly for breeding purposes, which have worked out well. We were able to show
her a few times before her first litter so that she became Champion.
She is a perfect mother who gives birth easily and takes very good care of her babies.
Now that we have learned how she responds to different things we are able to tell, nearly to
the hour, when she is about to get started with the delivery.
Porsche had her first litter in December 1994. Daddy is GIC Taifun Tom Puss, a chocolate-pointed
Siamese boy that Annelie Johansson in Nacka has bred and owns. Everything was as usual when
you are about to let your Queen get mated.
The three sibblings: Thomas Ó Malley, Toulouse
and Trixie
|
It takes an eternity to find the right male and when you have found him it takes another eternity
before your Queen begins to go on heat. The owner of the male usually beginns to think about
neutering if not..... This time were no exception but at last Porsche decided that she wanted male
company and she wanted it now!. She went to see Tom Puss for a few days and everything must have
been done the right way because she came home expecting. The pregnancy went well and soon it was
time for delivery. Eric was smart enough to run away to Skane at the same time. He blamed it on his
mother who celebrated her 70th birthday that weekend. It was true but even so.. (Some of the
family members talked about bad timing.) Instead Annelie was kind enough to come over and a few
hours after her appearance the first kitten was born. It was he who later was to be known as
Toulouse. Next one was a girl, Trixie, and the last one a boy, Thomas Ó Malley.
The two last mentioned gradually turned out to be chocolate-points like their dad but Toulouse was
lilac-pointed like his mother. We won't tell you more about
Toulouse now because he has his own homepage.
Thomas was sold together with the remaining kit from Lottas
litter to a couple who at the time lived in Jarfalla. They both had the same nice accent that
Eric has and they have, sure enough, moved back home again and are now living in Ystad where both
people and cats are having a great time.
S*Pastry's After Eight, ORI c

Trixie was sold to a nice young man called Niklas
Samuelson. In his cattery she eventually became the mother of the most goodlooking oriental
shorthair girl I have ever seen, S*Pastry's After Eight, ORI c. Daddy to this litter was Timille
Never Say Never, ORI b. Unfortunately 'Bella' never got any kittens.
But her sister, S*Pastry's Purple Hazel (ORI c) did get a litter late in June. One male ORI n24
and four females. Of the females one is a SIA n and the other three are ORI b 24 or n 24.
One day it will show wich coulour it is. Daddy to the litter is S*Aline's Charming Tigger, ORI n
24. The kittens are borned at Michael Eriksson in Uppsala. He has telefonnumber +46 18 25 24 46
and you can mail him here.
Life goes on and eventually Porsche seemed to think that there where all too few kittens in the
house and she told us, and our neighbours, about it loudly and clearly. This time we went to an
totally untried male, IC S*Orcatsias Zeus
IC S*Orcatsias Zeus, a bluepointed beauty living with Staffan Noteberg in Stockholm. It was love at first sight and Porsche taught him
everthing she could..... The result was not numerous, but good; S*Chandini's Zethos zun of Zeus,
SIA a, male, and S*Chandini's Zemele Zeusdotter, SIA c, female. Zethos moved, together with
a Siamese boy from Niklas Samuelson, to a family in Vasteras as pets. They both enjoy their lives
in their new home.

Zemele, who is called Zirikit in her new home, is also having a good time. She moved to
Marianne Wendt in Sollentuna, north of Stockholm. She already had two neutered boys, one Ocicat
and a Russian
Blue. Marianne had always wanted a Siamese but had always been told
not to buy one because "they were so bothersome". Luckily Marianne is resolute enough to make
her own decisions, because a more grateful kitten buyer you would have a hard time finding. She
sometimes calls
and tells us how adorable she finds Zirikit and tells us that, of course, she loves all her cats
but it's now, since she bought a Siamese, that she realises how much a cat can give to a human.
These things are well-known to us in the Siamese world, but it's nice to get it confirmed once in
a while.
We had planned a cooperation with Iréne
Eek-Magnusson for a mating with one of her Balinese for quite a while. Toulouse went
there and hade a really good time with one of her queens but the result was zero. We don't give
up that easily so we sent over his mom instead! She mated IC S*Tammees Highlander Hawk, BAL n, and
they really must have done everything right because they made a litter of six! Even though
Porsche is a fantastic mother she also is a small cat and it nearly went all wrong when the
kittens ate so much that Porsche nearly disappeared.
But with a little luck and some help from our vet, Marie Dartgard at Farsta Djurpraktik, it all
turned out well in the end.
Iréne took the two chocolate-points, a male and a female, to use in her work with the Balinese
pedigree.
Two kittens moved to Paul Guy and his wife Lillemor in
Hogdalen. A blue-pointed giant baby called Gizmo and his thin little sister Sloopy who is a
lilac-point. (All normal cats look small compared to Gizmo) These kittens also went to buyers
that like to tell us how much they love their cats and how wonderful they are. Its allways
nice to hear that those little kittens, who we kissed and cuddled so much, have come to the best
home possible.
We have, so far, been very lucky with our kitten buyers. They have all been "good buyers" in
the way that they treat the cats and how they take their responsibility towards both us and the
cats.
Now we had two blue-pointed girls left from this litter.
One of them moved to Anders Hannegård
, in Djursholm, who came to take a look and decided at
once to buy one of them. We delivered little Simba to the great delight of the son and the
housecat Puzzle. There is another happy cat with happy owners.

The last little girl moved far away to Orkelljunga in Skane, to a colleague of our vet.
We are sure that she is having the time of her life, or what do you think? Four cats, one dog,
two minipigs and two ducks! That must be company enough even for a Siamese girl at her best.
The last thing we heard from her was that the dog was helplessly in love with the Siamese but
she had still not answered his feelings.
(Onfortunately little Sia did not became that old. She thought that all dogs were as kind as her own
Joker at home, and therefore she became an easy prey for the neighbors dog, who clearly wasn't
the kindly sort. We console ourselves with the fact that she had the best days of her life until it
ended. Lots of animal friends and the chance to get outdoors now and then. Could she have had
it better? Hardly.)
So what are we going to do now? Well, we have our plans for Porsche quite clear for us. One or
two more litters for her and if you want to know what came out of it, and who the father is, then
you will have to look in on our homesite now and then. As soon as anything happens we will
include it on our site.
97 10 01 Porsche has been out having fun. She has visited a lilac oriental
gentleman called GIC Aprikat
Summerfrost, one of Iréne Eek-Magnussons imports from England. We count on having kittens at
christmastime. If there is a male born on christmasnight it will be quiet easy to give him a
suitable name....
Of course we will update with details as soon as they appear.
Here at last, as late
christamas-presents!
Early in the morning the 26.th of december, between 00.30 och 02.30, Porsche gave birth to three
healthy little kittens. One oriental shorthair, propably a male, and two siameses, one of each sex.
The oriental shorthairs weight was 93 grams and the siameses 92 and 101 grams. All three of them
are alert. They whine a bit and crawls around searching for one of Porsches nipples, who seams
to have a lot of food.
Happiest of us all are probably Jussi who is lying in the birthcage as a watchdog. He washes
both mother and kittens and purrs all the time with a silly smile on his face.
97 12 29 Full speed one the kittens! One of the siameses are beginning to open up the eyes
a little. We are getting more and more insecure about what sex the kittens are. Today it looks
like three boys but we usually have problems whit this until they are a few weeks old.
98 01 01 All three of them has opened their eyes, the siameses a day prior to the oriental
shorthair. Their behaviour changes instantly. When we open the birthcage the kittens doesent only
crawl around looking for Porsche but they lift their heads and looks around.
The both males are allmost competing in who gets to wash the kittens most. Porsche is thankfull
for the help and takes a paus now and then and goes to lie below the heating-lamp. She is well
aware that the kittens are never alone. Allways at least one of the nutered boys are watching
over them. If they start to whine the 'watchcat' goes out of the cage and starts miaow loudly
until Porshe comes back.
In spite of the constant washing all the kittens have now dubbeled their weight in less than six
days, so there is nothing wrong with the appetite.
98 01 07
Finally the first photos has arrived and they are just as bad as they use to be. Issn't it
strange that it is so difficult to take a deasent photo of a kitten. I really hope I will do
better in the future.
Luckily Jussi does not care about the quality of the cards. He is, as usual, more interested
in the kittens.
In this picture the kittens are two days old and Jussi in seventh heaven when he can lie down
among them. The kittens themselves seems to find it cosy with someone who is shaggy, warm and
caretaking. Besides they get their behinds really cleaned now and then. If he only had some food
to offer he would have been perfect in their eyes.
98 01 17 It is very hard to find out anything to write about the little ones right now.
Nothing happends. They grow as they should and all three are, of course, incredible sweet.
They have started to get out of their birthcage and take a few steps. In a few days we will
start to offer them some gruel and later on some babyfood like cod with shrimpsauce and stuff
like that. They usually look at us in a strange way, in our lokal store, when we buy babyfood and
all 12 cans are some sort of fish!
98 01 23 They have started to eat 'real' food. First we tried some homemaid gruel. It
was only appriciated by mom and big brother. The kittens hade gruel everywere but in their
stomach. We have to try something else. Cod with shrimpsauce were appriciated. One of the
siameses started at once while the other only ate when he were able to lick the food of our
fingers. The Oriental shorthair found no reson at all to eat anything that not came from his
Mother. He thought so for three days but yesterday he started to taste the food. It was now liver
casserole. Maybe he dont like fish?
98 01 25 Great happyness in the nursery, our bedroom. One of the kittens peed in the
right place yesterday evening!! This must be celebrated.
98 01 31 Nowdays the kittens are alloud to be in the whole flat. It was meaningless to
try to hold them in one room when they climbed out of it whenever they wanted to. In spite of
that they are mostly in one romm. Maybe its because we have a heatinglamp in that room. It is
equiped whit an IR-sensor so whenever a cat jumps up into the sofa the turns on automaticly. We
call it 'Playa del Sofa' and it very appreciated.
98 03 02 Lately I have been very lazy but at last I have got the new pictures of the
kittens so now it is a bit funnier writing again. We were to the vet and got the kittens
vaccinated a few days ago. No problems there. I do not know if it is because they have been out
on their first trip but they were very tired that evening. The Siameses were playing in the
corner of their sofa when one of them seems to say: 'Enough is enough. Now I am going to sleep'.
And so he did! He forgot to lay down after wrestling with his brother, but anyway......
As you can see they have grown quite a bit and now the seperation agony is starting to set in.
'Are we really going to sell this wonderful little boy? He is purring as soon as you even looks
at him'. Then comes reallity and sas that we can't have to many cats, and we deffinatly does not
need another male in our cattrey. But on the other hand, why not???
98 03 22 Days like this you just want to quit breeding cats. I n the last 5 days we
have delivered all three kittens. Mama Porsche, Eva and myself are equally depressed, even if
only Porsche speaks it out loudly. Eva and I only tell eachother about it while Porsche tells the
whole neighbourhood.
We know that all three kitten have come to best possible homes and that they are having a great
time. We are in telephone-contact with the new owners every day and they tell us about their
progress; How the Oriental shorthair has started to suckle on the female Siamese who lived in his
new home, how both the Siamese boys are starting to get along with the dogs that lived in their
new homes, but still the missing-feeling is present. Especially at breakfast-time and there is
no kitten that jumps up on the table to get a little piece of cheese...
Now when the kittens have left, the activity on this site presumably will go 'back to normal'
again but there will be some more pictures later on and if something specially happends in the
new homes, we will tell about it here.
98 03 28 Receeved a call from little Petrus (one of the Siamese boys) mistress in Skane.
She told us that when she when she were sitting in the sofa, watching TV, the other night she
had her Polecat Inga-My, laying in her knee. Suddenly Petrus jumped up and lied down next to the
Polecat. After a while he thought that if you are to have a polecat it might as well be useful,
so he layed himself upon Inga-My and that way he got himself a varm and nice madrass! Cool Cat,
inst he?
Petrus respect for the dog Joker is starting to decrease. The day he realizes that the dog is a
kind creature I am sure that they will become bodies.
98 04 24 Since I haven't developt the latest photos of the kittens yet, the roll is still
not ended, I am thankfull that the buyers has sent us a photo instead. Like this one with
'Stickan' laying in Bjorns knee, together with the dog 'Knutte'.
He has also been with the rest of the family on eastern-holliday to Bjorns parents. As Siameses
usually do, he became the talk of the day, a fact that he really enjoys.
Welcome back
