Ivanthes Ozzelottie, chocolate tortie-spotted oriental shorthair

Bild Lotta & Jussi som
små.jpg We bought Lotta together with her brother Ivanthes Ouzo in the autumn of 1992. What they looked like then you can see in the picture to the left. Her father is EC La Bell Imperial, ORI n and her mother San-T-Ree Tortie Spot DM, ORI h 24. Breeder is Björn Malmquist with the prefix "Ivanthes".
Lotta, as she is called at home, has been shown three times wich gave her two CAC-certificates and one 'withheld' certificate. As the last one was due to a pip on her tail it's doubtful if she should have got any certificates at all. Shows were not one of Lottas favourite things so she did not have to go through any more of those. On the other hand we thought that it was time for some kittens in the house Lotta och barnen so Lotta went to see Ingrid Gullstrand and her EC Gullstras Gudur Quod DM, SIA n. This trip resulted in four little girls who were all given Icelandic girls'names beginning with the letter G after daddy Gudur; Gudfinna (SIA f 21), Gudlaug (SIA b 21), Gudridur (SIA n) och Grôa Gudursdottir (ORI h 24).
Two of these four little girls two moved to a family in Sollentuna outside of Stockholm as pets. The oriental shorthair went to Catarina Bjorklund (S*Orcatsia's) as a breeding queen and the last one stayed here for a few months until she moved together with one of the kits in Porsche's first litter, to Jarfalla, also outside of Stockholm.
We were not completely satisfied with Lotta's temperament so when one of her kits showed the same disorder we had Lotta spayed. Of course, as a result of that, she became enormously affectionate, wanting to be cuddled, very nice and cute in all ways possible. But we would rather have a happy neutered cat than an unhappy breeding queen.

On the other hand Lotta is the one that is most like a "normal" cat, both in her looks and in her behaviour and manners. She is clearly the toughest of our cats and the one that takes the longest "walkabouts" on her own when we are at our summer cottage. Once she managed to frighten the neighbours' really huge cat so much that he now takes wide detours around our garden to prevent meeting her again. No cat in its right mind wants to meet an angry Lotta twice. She is without doubt the Quenn of our garden and shame on any cat that tries to trespass on Lottas territory.
We have to add that she is extremely nice to people and always come to say hello whenever we get visitors on two legs.
