MP3

MP3 is the best format for ripped music ever invented. 11 megabytes of best-quality wave sound fits in 1MB MP3!! The sound quality of an MP3 is equal to the one of a CD. So a song which lasts for 5 minutes would probably be 4.5 MB in MP3 format, and that is not bad. To play MP3's you first of all need an MP3 player. WinAmp is the best one now i think. It doesn't need to use the processor so much and it was freeware, but now it is shareware. Before i started to use WinAmp i used museArc which is quite good but it uses the processor a little too much i think. Both WinAmp and museArc are 32-bit players. There is also Winplay, but it's not 32 bits so if you are running Windows 95 or Windows NT WinAmp or museArc is better. And Winplay does not support long filenames. You can also make your own MP3's with L3enc.

Because it's kinda tricky to use L3enc I've made the CeeL WinEncoder which is a front-end for L3enc so you can encode while still in Windows. For more information - see the CeeL WinEncoder HomePage

I have moved all MP3 links to the CeeL WinEncoder HomePage

If you have been here before and wonder where the songs went, I can just tell you that I had to remove them to avoid any legal problems.
