and he makes 68 league app. and score 46 goals.

Cup with 4-0 victory
over Steaua Bucharest.

Wins second successive European Cup
winners' medal with
Milan after 1-0 win over Benfica. Plays
in World Cup finals
for only time as Holland go out in
second round to eventual
champions Germany.
1992:
Wins second Italian title medal. Announces
retirement from
international soccer for "personal
reasons",
but later has a change of heart.
1993:
Wins third Italian League winners'
medal with Milan before joining
Sampdoria. He made 117 league app.
and scored 35 goals for Milan. Again announces he is quitting international

against England at Wembley.

Scotland, but walks out

with Advocaat
with the World Cup less than three
weeks away.
In all, made 66 appearances for Holland,
scoring 16 goals.
Moves back to Milan after 31 league
app. and scoring 15 goals for Sampdoria. There he will only stay for seven
months making 8 league app. and scoring 3 goals before returning to Sampdoria
again. This time he plays 22 league games and scores 9 golas for the Genua
club.

Signs two-year contract with Chelsea,

to Glenn Hoddle after the
latter's decision to succeed Terry

Sacked as manager for Chelsea. The
reason, he acted like a playboy,
according to the management. I think
Ruud has another view of
the sacking.
1998:
Becomes manager at Newcastle United, when Kenny Dalglish
was sacked after only 2 games of the new season.
