§ 1 Due to the recent conflicts and the
antagonism among the different populations of the country and with the neighbouring countries,
a decision has been taken actively to work for the restoration of the crown of Bosnia &
Hercegovina and of its nobility as a unifying force for the future welfare of the country and
its inhabitants. The common historical and cultural factor among the people of Bosnia and
Hercegovina has always been its Kingdom which therefore must be revived and activated in order
to safeguard the peace, freedom, and tolerance it has been renowned for.
§ 2 The Kingdom of Bosnia and Hercegovina, in
Swedish Stiftelsen för Kungadöme i Bosnien och Hercegovina, has as its subsidiary name The
Foundation for The Kingdom of Bosnia and Hercegovina, and in the Bosnian language, Kraljevina
Bosna i Herzegovina.
§ 3 The purpose of The Foundation is actively
to support and promote the restoration of The Kingdom and the official nobility in Bosnia and
Hercegovina, and further to work for a economic, social and cultural restoration of the country.
Furthermore the purpose is :
a) to save the coming generations in Bosnia and
Hercegovina from the scourge of war, which has caused unspeakable harm and damage to the
population of the country, three times within this century alone.
b) to protect the fundamental human rights of all
its individual inhabitants irrespective of religion, face or colour. There to in particular the
right of freedom of religion
c) to ensure the true and full rule of law where
all inhabitants are equal under the laws of the Kingdom and to create the necessary conditions
for this
d) to safeguard equal rights of men and women.
e) to support social progress and better living
conditions under greater freedom in Bosnia and Hercegovina.
f) to promote a constitutional and represenative
political order based on universal suffrage with safeguards for the individual against any
excesses of state.
g) to support the introduction and continuation of
the Monarchy and its institutions
h) to maintain peace and freedom in Bosnia and
Hercegovina to work for national co-operation and understanding in order to solve national
problems of economic, social, cultural and human nature and to
§ 4 The specific rules of election of the
King and the succession to the throne is to be determined under the constitution of the
Kingdom.
§ 5 All the matters of the Foundation will
be handled by a board consisting of a minimum of five (5) members who may also be members
of the provisional King’s Council. Apart from the board, the Foundation may be represented
by the chairman or by others appointed by the Board.
§ 6 The board of The Kingdom will have its
seat in Stockholm, in the Municipality of Stockholm and the county of Stockholm and will
be represented in Sarajevo at an appropriate moment.
§ 7 Members and deputy members of the
Foundation will be chosen by the board for a period of three (3) years. The board will elect
its chairman. The decision of the board in all questions must be unanimous.
§ 8 A quorum of three members is required
for a legal vote. When there is a tie vote, the vote of the chairman will be decisive.
§ 9 The Foundation shall rely upon
contributions from the public to meet its expenses. Its assets shall be used to promote the
goals of the Foundation and to the benefit of the people of the Kingdom.
§ 10 The board must manage the capital of the
Foundation to the best of its efforts and in the best interest of the Foundation. At the
board meetings written records must be kept, which the chairman and a deputy must approve
in writing. If a seat on the board is vacated or occupied by a new member, the board must
immediately report in writing to the county Government Board.
Documents regarding the Foundation will be kept by the board. The board is liable to keep
accounts of the assets, debts, income and expenses of the Foundation and yearly render
accounts within three months after the end of each financial year The board shall also yearly
report how the Foundation has promoted its cause over the year, and shall submit a statement of
account according to the stipulated formand the auditor's report. The accounts of the Foundation
cover a calendar year.
§ 11 The board will appoint the auditor, who
has to be approved by the Government.
§ 12 The board shall assist in the development
of the symbols of kingship and shall protect the flag, the coat-of-arms, the seals and other
insignia of the Kingdom.
§ 13 The board is entitled to change the rules
of The Kingdom. Such a change is done through a majority vote of the board.
§ 14 The boards management shall be governed
by the Law of The Swedish Government (SFS 1994 : 1220)
The Foundation is, under the above mentioned statutes adopted on September 26th, 1996
approved and registered as at the authorities "Länstyrelsen i Stockholm's län" and
as such is under protection of the State of Sweden, the European Union and the United
Nations.
