The street "Hamngatan" and the old railroad station

(22k) The street "Hamngatan" and the old railroad station (22k) The street "Hamngatan" close to the harbour. The nearest building to the right is "Strömkvists skeppshandel (ship stores)". The building behind was later replaced by "tullhuset" - the customhouse.
(22k) This is the "Janssonska huset". It was built in the beginning of the 20:th century by the masterbuilder A.G Andersson who also made the drawings himself. Today there are parking lots on this place. This house was torn 1971.
(27k) Behind the tree is the "Fröberska affärshuset" which was built in the 1890:s. It was burnt down by the local fire-department in 1963 to prepare space for parking lots. The bigger house behind is the "Källmanska huset #1", build 1900 by Gustav Källman and it was torn down 1964 by Trosa-Nisse who tore down most of the old houses in Oxelösund.
(31k) This is the old Railroad station, in the end of "Hamngatan", which was built in 1870:s when the railroad to Oxelösund was built. This building was used to 1937.
(53k) An old newspaper stand which was placed near the old railroadstation. Nowadays it is used as a tool-shed by a private person.
(22k) The first railroad-hotel (right) was build in 19:th century. When the new railroad hotel was finished (left) 1905 the first floor became a post-office where it remained until the end of 1950:th. The first railroad-hotel was torn in 1963 to prepare space for a bus station

Inner city

(19k) Innerstaden (19k) This is the "C-Skolan" - a school-building built in 1905. This school was used as a school to 1996 and is now rebuilt into a museum.
(32k) This building belonged to God-Templar society and it was built by co-operative of harbour workers. Föreningsgatan or translated directly into German "the union street" got its name from the houses on the street wich was wich was built by the workers co-operatively.
