I will soon be returning to my mother soil for a few weeks in the Scandinavian darkness. The few weeks will, among many other things, see the Blank Expressions getting together in a newly built studio in Helsingborg to record four songs. The two songs "Dying is what life is all about" and "I'm not certain I wanna know" are both new. The sessisons will also see the re-recording of "We ain't gonna cry no more" and a cover of the Rollings Stones classic "Playing with fire".

Alright now, this is the new demo.. or rather it is the cover of the demo-cd that Henrik have just finished mixing. The demo, titled "The Nights Blur The Days", include the following songs in the order they are being mentioned: 1. Sunlight, 2. In My Blue Book, 3. The Nights Blur The Days, 4. I Don't Have All The Answers, 5. I Know (Do Know) I Would.
The title refer to the fact that it is quite often hard to distinguish between dreams and things that have actually happened, quite simply the nights blur the days. I'd also like to thank all my friends, the rest of the band and the guest-members on this demo (klas and mum).

Henrik has now done the majority of the mixing, and Kalle has now started
working on the layout for the new demo that will go under the name "The
Nights Blur the Days". The demo is scheduled to be released mid-march.

We've put up some links to a couple of bands we like. Check their sites
out, and you should really get your hands on some of their records.

The lyrics from the up-coming demo have now been added. Check them out in
the "Lyrics" section.

We´re having second thoughts about sending the available demo to record
companies, it's simply not as good as the new material is. We'll see, we'll
see. I just thought that we could announce the songs on the next demo as
well: 1. I Know (do Know) I Would, 2. Sunlight, 3. The Nights Blur the Days,
4. I Don't Have All the Answers, 5. In My Blue Book, 6. We Ain't Gonna Cry
No More. The lyrics will be available in a week or two.
We will have the first demo-records ready in just one or two weeks. So if you send us your home addresses we will make sure that you all get a record for free. E-mail me at: johan@skawars.nu Blessings.

We are now done recording, and are able to conclude that the new material
does not sound as dark as the first recording did. It is still a melancholic
core but the music is quite simply not as suicidal as are the songs now
available on the site. The recording was, however, conducted in the same
manner as the last time. We just went into the studio and recorded material
that none (except for Martin and I) had ever heard before. We explained our
visions for how we wanted the songs to turn out, and the other members were
simply given a couple of tries before we recorded. To summarize, we recorded
six songs in three days; a fact that will be fairly easy to tell by the
lo-fi recordings. We are happy with what we have achieved though, and we
certainly hope that "y'all" are going to like it when Henrik is done mixing.

Martin and Johan spent the last weekend rehearsing/writing a couple of new songs. Titles include: "The Nights Blur The Days", "I Know (Do Know) I Would", "Sunlight" and "A Farewell Serenade". It has also been decided that new material is going to be recorded late December (probably the 26, 27 and 28). Listen to some songs in the "Music" section. Love.

Henrik will soon be finished mixing the demo and we can assure you all that it sounds astonishing. We are also planning on recording some new songs during the christmas holiday. New songs include the titles "In My Blue Book", "Sunlight" etc.

The Blank Expressions will now give you more than depressive, lo-fi indie-shit. We have now gone virtual so that you to can dream about us. Keep the faith, our music heal
