This chip is located on the left, rear section of the main board. --------------------------------------------------------------- Model No.: TXG2546/2746 Fault: DEAD: poor E/W pcc after relplacing output xstr. Remedy: Shorted H output 2SD1887/1885 and CB-19 473 @ 400wvdc: Note pcc amp transistor will run very warm with leakage @ cb-19. --------------------------------------------------------------- VIDEO --------------------------------------------------------------- Model No.: VI-730 Fault: No fast forward, rewing very slow, may ''click'' on mode changes . Remedy: Metal pin falls out of mechanism on plastic part right next to mode change motor (right hand side of mechanism) . Replace, if unable to find pin, substitute with 1cm long 3mm diameter lead or piece of stiff wire . (correct position of plastic piece is that it rests against the associated part on mode change motor when winding/rewinfing . --------------------------------------------------------------- Model No.: SV-30I and SV-80I Fault: VCR would operate 100%, all of a sudden display would die and no action what so ever out of the VCR. Remedy: At first look you would think power supply is blown. You leave the VCR off for several hours off the mains then it would operate ok, all functions. 3 Legged Crystal 8Mhz poor quality, replace with new one (can use 2 leg Crystal 1/2 hight HC-49/US as midle leg is only chassis casing). Also remove out of circuit C607 and C608 damper caps. After that your VCR is 100%. --------------------------------------------------------------- Model No.: VR5608 Fault: In safe mode Remedy: Hold TV/VCR down on remote for 30 sec --------------------------------------------------------------- Model No.: VR5711 (same as a G.E.
