Agneta and Sport (Fantasis Sportin Life)  a wet day.


 

  
Agneta got her first afghan in 1958, her name was Sanhjara out of Int.Ch.Tanjores Domino and by a son of Int.Ch.Xenos v d OM.
 
Sanhjaras life was too short, she died one year of age to a sickness.

 
Then Agneta got Sikandra Darja, she was out of Int.Ch.Ch Benares Baba Lou & by Ch Crown Crest Kaejorg.
 
Sikandra Darja was a multiple CACIB & CC winner, but didn't finish as a Champion. Agneta retired her from the show ring when she bought Tajmahal's Kenya II. She was out of Int. Ch. Tajmahal Nefertite & by Int Ch Talmahal Abd-ul Djari. 

 
Kenya II was very successful in the show ring, she became INT, Nord Ch. and was one of Scandinavians most top winning bitches.

The most successful dogs came from the C- & D-litters (see history) , but Agneta's all time favorite of her own breeding was INT Nord Ch Jawahar's La Femme.

 

 
Another successful dog from Agneta was INT Nord Ch Jawahar's Dante, actually this was one of Elisabet Levéns first afghans. In 1970 Jawahar's Dante was Afghan hound of the year

 
In the early seventies Agneta imported a male from the US, his name was Fantasis Sportin Life out of Akabas Devil May Care & by Akabas Royal Ransom. Agneta wanted to bring in a new bloodline to incorporate in her breeding program.

Unfortunately Fantasis Sportin Life died at a young age due to a tick bite, (we didn´t know about this disease at that time) But therefore he  produced a few litters. We are proud to say that you can find him in the pedigree of Xciting afghans.
 
Due to family circumstances Agneta couldn't continue to breed afghans, her family and full time job as a nurse took up all her time.
 
At that time Agneta still owned some afghans and when her daughter Madelene turned 15 y.o. she bought her first afghan of her own, 
 INT  Nord Dk Ch Xciting Bullet The Blue Sky in co-ownership with Elisabet Levén. 

 

Although Agneta was not breeding anymore, she never lost her passion for the breed and still follow the successful team from ringside.
 
  
 

Madelene was born into Kennel Jawahar. After having afghans around the house and showing them for others, Madelene really wanted an afghan of her own. For years she had traveled with Elisabet & Sven and competed in Junior Handling with their afghans.

 

Carina & Britt Ekwall at Kennel Xciting had a promising litter sired by Ch Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow and there he was, Frans, Ch Xciting Bullet The Blue Sky.
Frans was shown by Madelene and Elisabet and for some years he was one of Sweden's most top winning afghans.
He was a fantastic show dog, a real performer, but unfortunately Frans broke his leg and he was retired from the show ring after that.
 
Then the sweet sweet whippet, Cello, Airescot Cello joined the family.
 
 
  
 

After Frans the plan was to buy a new afghan, but Madelene wanted to wait until the right dog came along. It took some years, but finally Xciting made another interesting breeding and it was time again to look for another puppy.

His name is INT US Nord Dk EE Lat Ch Xciting Xtravagant Creation, Figge. He is co-owned by Elisabet and Sven and always shown by Elisabet.

Figge is one of Sweden's most top winning dogs of all breeds. We don´t like to campaign the same dog year after year, so more or less he has been shown every other year in Sweden.

Now that Figge was campaigned in Sweden by Elisabet. Madelene was offered to show one of Elisabet & Sven's Australian imports, the lovely bitch  INT Nord Dk Ch Gengala Just Like That , Olivia. For not to compete against each other, Olivia was mostly shown in Denmark and the southern part of Sweden.
 
 
Olivia did not enjoy dog shows from the beginning, but she learned to love it. Madelene and Olivia is a perfect match and it shows in the ring. After two years of showing Olivia, she has been Afghan of the Year and Afghan Bitch of the Year, along with winning Champions of Champions in Sweden, actually she is the first afghan ever to win this prestigious event.
Olivia is also a multiple Group 1st. winner and have won numerous BIS veteran. 
 
A couple of years ago Madelene bought another afghan, for the main purpose to start breeding in the Jawahar name again.
This bitch is a line breeding on Ch Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow, her name is Tash Kurgan End Of Story, Debbie.
She has been shown very little, but is only one CC away to complete her Swedish and Danish Champion title.
 
As you can tell we don´t have many afghans, the most important thing for us, is that the dog can be part of our family.  
 
What will the future bring ? Well, maybe Jawahar will have a litter from Debbie and Figge. Until then,  Agneta has retired

 70 years old (2009) and Madelene will do what she does best and love the most...showing dogs.
