My professional work

I am an Architect SAR/MSA, M. Sc. and I am retired from SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden, as a pensioner. I am hired as a consultant by SP Certification in specific temporary commissions. Further more I am hired as a consult and expert in international building construction engineering by MSB Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency. Genealogy

The lines are following the family records of my wife and my self (Swedish only). You will find mostly common people, but also early kings, medieval nobility and Vikings in this family tree. My wife's family originates from Småland and Jämtland on father respective mothers branches. My fathers family - the Sahlins from Västmanland and my mother - the Hööks, who come from Ålem in Kalmar county.

About the family Sahlin, I am chairman  of the Sahlinska Family Society. My family name Sahlin was first taken by a Christian Lutheran Priest living 1674 - 1749 in Gesala, Romfartuna parish, Västmanland of Sweden. His son-daughter-son was the academy farmer Per Sahlin, who is the ancestor of every member in our Sahlinska Family Society (the Sahlins from Gesala; the younger branch). The title academy farmer means that he paid his annual tax to the University of Uppsala.

Several people have been most helpful and I will specially give my grandfather, father and brother credit for their strict and diligent work of family records. There are many links of interest witch I have found. The ancient material you will find in the computer data bases at the universities of Hull, England and Erlangen, Germany. In my possession there is the book: "Family records of the Bruces and the Cumins", Fairbanks 1870.

I have made a deep look into the historical family records. As far as right or wrong it might be a subject of discussion. In my family-tree I have chosen to accept one most plausible person in favour for nobody following a strong criticism of the sources. My records of ancestors are in good order back in line to the seventeenth century. I am well aware of that criticism will be held against the early records and You must read this with an open mind.

Politics

I am a member of the Moderate Party. I have been given political appointments in Gothenburg town at the board of directors in Söderborgska and other Funds.

Sports and leisure

I play golf in Delsjö GK and my Hcp is -18. I am a member of the comity of Tournaments and I have also designed our Master plan of Environment. You can follow the link to the golf course (Swedish only).

I like to go swimming in the see, and last year we had a nice summer. In wintertime I prefer to go skiing in the mountains of Norway or in Lapland, the most northern part of Sweden. I am born in Gällivare and I had my childhood in Kiruna. The places are located north of the Arctic circle.
