Well, after all I AM Swedish so I thought it would be funs to have a Swedish theme on my site.
The first addition to this theme is a co-production between me, Lyran of Lyran's Sim Design and
Maria of Sims with Sarali. (We Swedes just have to stick together, don't we? LOL)

The Swedish "Folkdress"
Before 1840 the Swedish country people used to have a very strict dress code. Everyone in the same
little village wore the same kind of clothing that varied from village to village, different colors,
different aprons and so on. These clothes later became known as "folk dresses".
These outfits are however not real folk dresses, they are just inspired by
them. The female dress was created 1902 for the ladies-in-waiting to use when they got foreign
guests at the castle. The male dress is a more modern invention.
Nowadays some people still use folk dresses as their formal wear and the
Swedish Dress is used in different ways when representing our country, both
by our Queen, tourist guides and for souvenir dolls.
