MANAGEMENT TRAINING PROGRAMME

for women on Nordkalotten

November, 1998 – October, 1999

Objectives

The objectives with the programme are to

strengthen women’s management skills
create personal development
motivate women to advance to higher positions
support networking between the participants
enhance internationalisation and co-operation between the Nordic countries

Structure

The programme is divided in four sessions, where all participants meet, once in Finland, once in Norway and twice in Sweden.
Between the sessions the national groups meet in their own countries. The course lasts for a total of 15 days.

Methodology

A vital and practical part of the programme is the project work, which is planned and conducted by the participants during the course.
They are encouraged to use each other as resources, in the project works as well as in other situations.
Since participants bring a lot of own competence in to the programme, sharing of experiences is another vital part.

Financiers and organisers

It is a joint project between Finland, Norway and Sweden and financed by EU’s Interregional Programme together with
public authorities in the three countries and participation fees.

Sweden:    Inger Wallin, project leader at CENTEK, Luleå
