I was at work this day in Sweden. Just a regular day and every full hour we use to listen to the news on the radio. On the 3 PM news, local time, which is 9 AM ET, we heard that a plane had crashed into the World Trade Center in New York City. First we thought it was a small private plane that lost itself and hopefully the tower would be free from danger. But 30 minutes later the next news broadcast was telling that a second plane had crashed into the other tower! Now this couldn't be a coincident. Now this are serious. If only we had a TV set around. Now everybody knewed and speculations were already on. Who was it? Saddam? Bin Laden? As I hurried to get all things done so I could go home to watch CNN, which we luckily got with digital transmissions from september 1st, more reports came that one tower had fallen. No! No! No! No way! That could not be happening, I said. I was beginning to be real scared, in fact what would happend next. I hoped that the second tower would stand. But as I was finnished with all stuff and was rushing out, the second tower had gone down too. Now I was pissed of, even more scared. Its WAR! The Big Apple is burning! Oh My God! It was a rainy day here and I almost crashed my car in my attempt to get home as quickly as possible. Listening to the radio and could not beleave that the World Trade Center was gone. I hoped still that this wasn't happening. I got home, safe, and rushed up, loaded the VCR and CNN was already on. My parents were there watching. Then another replay was showned and I just just could'nt beleave it. My head and stommac was in deep pain, I was feeling sick. I dont know really what I was thinking at the moment. I just sat there gaping and hoped that with this two hits there'll be enough damage to New york already. I was kinda right, but the terror wouldn't stop here. Now they were getting reports that Pentagon was hit too. Soon there had pictures there as well. My Lord. Perfect plan, shock the nation by hitting one of the great symbols, them getting the strategic points. Now thats WAR! Now just to add on, another plane was missing and we were as much worried as everybody else. WHERE would that plane strike?! Well, suddenly it crashed too, but it had crashed at a site near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Now the terrorists failed with this attempt, so to speak, but still innocent lives were lost.
