The runes give different powers to their holders.
The power of the rune you are carrying lasts until you die.
You can only carry one rune at a time, and you cannot drop a rune,
so if you pick up a rune, you're stuck with it until you die.
On this page you can read about each of the four runes.

The rune of Earth Magic - Resistance The Resistance rune reduces all damages inflicted on you by half. This makes it a very good rune to have if you're going to the enemy base to get the flag. The holder of this rune makes the 'Pentagram of Protection' sound when shot at, but does not glow. |
|
The rune of Black Magic - Strength The Strength rune is ideal for base defence. All your weapons do double the damage, so one hit with the Rocket Launcher is usually enough to gib a player. The holder of this rune makes the 'Quad Damage' sound when firing, but does not glow. |
|
The rune of Hell magic - Haste The Haste rune doubles the rate of fire for all weapons except the nailguns, and the Thunderbolt. This is also a rune suitable for defence. The Grenade Launcher is a very good weapon to use with this rune. Hang from the ceiling of your base or stand on a ledge with a view of your base. When an enemy enters your base, start shooting grenades into the walls so that they spread all over the floor of you base. When the enemy tries to get out, the grenades will hopefully explode right in his face. The holder of this rune screams as he fires. |

The rune of Elder Magic - Regeneration This rune rebuilds your health by 5% each second up to 150%. If your health gets over 150% it won't drop as it usually does after a couple of seconds, so the MegaHealth boxes become very useful. A pretty good rune for doing flag runs. When combined with a red armor you can take one or two rockets when running into the base and by the time the defenders start chasing after you, your health will have risen a couple of percent and you can take a few more hits. This rune is also good to have if you're defending and your base doesn't have a lot of medi-kits. When rebuilding the health, the player makes a 'pulsing' sound. |
