In the near future the USFA will be launching a new site as well as a new logo. Be sure to check back for this exciting new development.

A training camp for the Men's national team has been scheduled for 11th-15th of February 2004 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Details of the camp and the possibility to sign up will become available shortly.

There is a team playing in Boca Raton, they practice once a week, Thursdays 8:30 pm- 9:30 pm, but are looking to practice another hour each week due to the increased interest. They can be contacted through Tuomas Kesti.

The first ever training camp for the men's national team has been announced. It will take place in Uppsala, Sweden in June of 2003. Read more in the national team section.
THe second annual California Cup will take place in April, check out the tournament section.
A new team and homepage has appeared, check out the teams section.

There is a team in Denver, Colorado that plays Sunday 16-18 and tey are open to newcomers. They invite any team interseted in a few friendly games followede up by a day of skiing to contact them through Ashley Boozer.

Anybody playing or wanting to help start a team anywhere near Mt. Prospect, Illinois should contact Jan Thomas Hagen.

Nikko Karki is going to try to start a team at the The University of Massachusetts at Amherst. They hope to have a webpage up by February 03 and an MSN community runing before long.

In one of the largest updates in the history of the USFA there are several intersting things to note. The largest being the new USFA president Ollie Rupp. The second is the California Cup and the third being the new sections of the homepage. Enjoy!

The USFA is proud to announce that the entire coaching staff, Håkan Ferngren (Storvreta IBK), Kaj Söder (Hagunda IF) and Thomas Stålfors (Hagunda IF) have agreed to continue to coach the US national team of floorball through the 2004 World Championships in Switzerland.

The Toronto team now has a MSN Community site open for those who want to play there.

And so the first ever US national team of floorball has returned from its adventures, as soon is possible there will be pictures and info under "National Team" to the left.

The team list has been updated with a team in Seattle and a correction! Plus pictures have been added to several pages (like the one above). The pictures come from Floorball World/Innebandy Magazinet and can be used by all American floorball sites!

Juha Mikkola is trying to start a team in Toronto, anybody can join. Please email him if you are interested. Also a email has been
added to the Nokia group playing in Boston, you can contact Matt Collins if you want to play in that area.

New teams are getting started in Berkley Californina by Jim Thorsen (a website is to be announced for this team) and in Largo, Tampa Bay Florida by Mats Bengtsson who is looking for players.

Karhu have been namned official sponsor of Team USA that will compete in the World Championships in Finland, 2002. More on that to come.

The USFA now has a more official url and can be found at http://www.usafloorball.org, the old url still works and the new one works without the www, but some find it easier to remember it with.

News comes seldom but when it comes it is all the better. A new American floorball site has appeared on the web, it is called "American Floorball Authority", the site certainly has potential and even sells the finish brand Karhu, hopefully they will be listed on the equipment site soon with more complete info. They also have a newsletter you can subscribe to.

I have linked a very interesting page simply called "Floorball In America", as this page grows I am sure it will be a good base for many aspiring players to find teams, and maybe even a place for me to find info...

New teams are in the making in Austin (early December?) and at the University of Arizona, so if you are in the neighbourhood of these places why not help start a new team!
