Still to Come
You might think that a site dedicated to the history of a club that ceased operating almost 37 years ago would not be updated. But I have a lot more information that I haven't put on this site yet. Above all I would like to add profiles of the managers of the club (Now on), also adding to and improving the player profiles (The 54/55 team has been added). The records section needs to be improved also, and if I have the time, I would like to extend the written account a bit further.
There is also the question of accuracy, because I must admit that in some cases I have had to resort to what I hope is a qualified guess. This applies in particular to Secretaries' and Chairmen's terms of office etc. But I'm sure that there are errors, and I would appreciate any little piece of information, or small correction. If you can help, please do!
Apart from the question of accuracy, some details are missing more or less completely. I am still looking for details concerning Stanley's League record in the 19th century, details of the reserves' time in the West Lancashire League, i.e. pre-1923 and 1962-64, and most details concerning the youth and 'A' teams. If you have any information, please let me share it. I'm looking for full League tables as well as details regarding players and FA Youth Cup scores etc. Records of Directors, Secretaries are also incomplete. But I would be grateful for any help. No detail will be regarded as too small. And if you have any images that you would be willing to let me use, please give me a scan.
